Mountains that get progressively more snowy. Rocky paths with lose gravel. The sounds of a monster in the distance echoing all the way to you.

The party finds an abandoned camp, and tracks moving to a cave further up the cliffs. The camper was here recently, and left a pack with supplies. There’s an abadoned scabbard as well, implying missing gear. The hunter was sprayed by a Snake Demon and grew the arm, then fully transformed. Party arrives to hear one demon gutturally gloating to the other.

  • One of you is awoken by the soft, haunting song. What somber memory does it bring to mind as it rouses you from dreams?
  • Following the music is difficult, and it leads into the mountains then down a path to a ravine.
  • At the bottom of a valley is a spirit that sings by her body. Having been acknowledged, she will fade away. She wears the crest of Thule Military.
  • Telling Grimm about this woman will earn them a reward for finding her, as she’d been missing for months.

• A notable monster hunter is looking for a specific Chimera in this mountain range, though he’s clearly aging out of the search.
  • The monster hunter comes in and defeats a Chimera in a single blow.
  • This Chimera is older, and it’s wings are strong enough to live at the top of mountains.
  • The Chimera is scarred and a Champion, but the hunter freezes up facing it.

  • The Hunter reveals his partner was murdered by this Chimera, and now that it’s defeated he can finally retire. He’ll bestow his monster hunting blade upon the party.
